A Place to Learn… A Place to Create… A Place to Fly…

From coaching hundreds of leaders over the last twenty years, we know it’s possible to develop skills that grow confidence, and the younger we are taught these, the more chance we will have of stretching beyond what everyone thinks we are capable of and living our best lives!
We imagine a world where parents, teachers and children are flying by being themselves and inspiring each other.
  • We work with parents to help them develop confidence in their children.
  • We work with teachers to help them develop confidence in the classroom.
  • We work with children to help them build confidence in themselves and each other.
We would love to work with you if you are a parent, a teacher or a school.

The Stone Stack: Learning how to find our balance..

At Flying School, we believe that confidence, resilience, and self-belief are not just things you’re born with — they’re things you can learn. Over the years, we’ve worked with children, parents, and teachers to understand what helps us grow and thrive. What we found is this: the children who learn to fly — to be themselves, to trust their voice, and to take brave steps — are the ones who’ve been given space to build strong foundations.

That’s where the Stone Stack comes in.

It’s a simple but powerful way to explore five key themes that help us find our balance and confidence as we grow:

Imagine – Dream big and explore possibilities
Believe – Build self-trust and inner strength
Let Go – Move on from mistakes and worries
Create – Take action, play, and try things out
Trust – Keep going and stay connected

Whether you’re a teacher creating a thinking classroom, a parent supporting your child, or a young person figuring things out — the Stone Stack offers a shared language and a set of gentle prompts to guide reflection, conversation, and growth.

It’s not about being perfect. It’s about discovering who you are — and learning how to fly, one stone at a time.

Flying is...

The Flying Skills are...

Flying Skills

So what does it take to learn to fly?

The 4 flying skills support us to:

  • increase our awareness of ourselves, our capability and our uniqueness, so we can stretch our imagination, be confident in our own contribution and less inclined to compete with others.
  • learn to think for ourselves and enable others to do the same, so we have an equal voice during conversations in the classroom, playground and at home.
  • build stronger connections with others including friends, parents and teachers, so we can belong whilst being ourselves.
  • learn coaching skills so we can learn from others and inspire them to fly.
