At its heart, coaching is a place to pause — a quiet, focused space to think clearly, hear your own voice, and test and challenge your thinking. It’s not about giving answers — it’s about creating the conditions for your best insights to emerge.
In a world of constant demands, coaching offers time to reflect with intention — time to reorient, make decisions with clarity, and lead with more authenticity, courage, and energy.
Coaching is more than my work — it’s my passion, and has been from the very first session I ever led nearly 20 years ago. I still remember the feeling — that sense of this is it. I left my corporate role as Head of Development and Communications soon after and stepped into a completely new career, one that continues to challenge and inspire me every day.
Since then, I’ve worked with leaders across the public and private sectors — including the NHS, Lloyds TSB, the Science Museum Group, and the Department of Health. I hold a Master’s in Coaching and Mentoring from Oxford Brookes University, am a full member of the Association for Coaching, and am trained in a range of approaches including MBTI, Strengthscope, EQi, and the Thinking Environment®.
I continue to invest in my own growth — reading, training, learning — always seeking to deepen my practice. I also believe in coaching from real experience. Returning recently to a corporate team role and starting a not-for-profit from the ground up has reminded me first-hand what it means to lead through change, uncertainty, and growth.
I bring presence, curiosity, and structure to every conversation. I’m qualified in the Thinking Environment approach — and this underpins my style. I listen deeply, offer space without interruption, and ask questions that invite clarity and momentum.
Clients describe me as warm, grounded, and gently challenging. I aim to create an environment that feels safe but stretching — where new ideas and honest reflections can emerge and grow.
Every coaching relationship starts with a conversation. In our initial call, we’ll explore what you’re looking for, what’s important to you, and whether we’re the right fit to work together. From there, we can shape a coaching programme that suits your needs – whether it’s focused on leadership, transitions, resilience, or a deeper sense of personal alignment.
If you’re ready to create space to think, grow, and lead – I’d love to hear from you.
Whether you’re leading a team, stepping into something new, or navigating a complex challenge, coaching offers a valuable space to pause, reflect, and move forward with clarity.

“Rachel is an excellent coach, she has supported me during a period where I’ve moved sectors from private to public and also been promoted to director level. Her guidance and coaching skills are of the very best quality and I have no hesitation in recommending her as a coach.”
Bob Kirton Director of Transformation
“Working with Rachel was a great experience that not only helped me professionally, but also provided useful approaches to apply personally. Sessions were relaxed and free flowing, but always led to useful, tangible and actionable insights and ideas. I really appreciated the space to explore ideas that had been buried but were having impacts on my work. I have already seen changes in my practice that have created a more positive working environment for me – what else could you ask for? All in all, I would highly recommend some sessions with Rachel!”
Christopher Whitby, Head of Learning, Science Museum Group.
